Created especially for the 1975 World Cup Tournament, the 26 year old Navatanee Golf Club is one of Thailand's
most famous. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, the course in particular its sixth and ninth holes have
become a golfing Mecca for first time visitors to the country.
In terms of playability, it really has something for everyone: the greens are well protected by bunkers,there is a
good mix of wide and narrow fairways and water enters the fray on five of the holes. The greens and fairways went under
a thorough renovation three years ago in order to improve the drainage system, thus leaving the course in pristine condition.
The clubhouse, of course, also has excellent facilities. |
